Best SaaS Tools by Industry (2026)
The Sultan's recommended SaaS stack for 17 industries. Each page picks the best tool from every category for your specific business.
Generic SaaS recommendations have a problem. The "best CRM" for a SaaS company is not the best CRM for a real estate brokerage. The "best email marketing tool" for an ecommerce store is different from the right pick for a B2B agency. Most review sites paper over this by recommending the same 3-4 tools to everyone. We do the opposite. The industry pages above pick the best tool in each category for the specific way your business actually operates.
Industry matters because it changes three things: the data model your CRM needs to handle, the channels your customers respond to, and the workflows your team runs day-to-day. A real estate CRM needs property and listing data. A B2B SaaS CRM needs deal stages and renewal forecasting. An agency CRM needs client retainers and project tracking. Same category, three completely different products at the top of each ranking.
How the Industry Picks Work
Each industry page surfaces a Sultan's Pick across the categories that matter most for that industry. Not every category appears on every industry page. We only include categories where the recommendation actually changes from the generic version. If "best help desk for SaaS" and "best help desk for ecommerce" both come back to the same tool, we do not waste your time with two pages saying the same thing. You will see the difference where it exists.
Picks are explained in plain language. Why this CRM for this industry. What the alternative would have been. When to ignore the recommendation. We do not just stamp a winner badge and call it done. The reasoning is on the page so you can decide whether the logic applies to your specific situation.
Why Industry-Specific Recommendations Matter
Two examples make this concrete. First: for a real estate brokerage, the best CRM is not HubSpot or Salesforce. It is a CRM with native MLS integration and listing management. Generic CRMs require months of customization to handle property data well, and most teams give up before they finish configuring it. The industry page recommends a vertical CRM that ships with the right data model out of the box.
Second: for an ecommerce store, the best email marketing tool is Klaviyo, not Mailchimp or ConvertKit. Klaviyo's deep Shopify and BigCommerce integrations let you build flows triggered by purchase data, abandoned carts, and product browsing behavior. Generic email tools cannot do that without significant custom work. The industry page tells you that and explains why.
How to Use These Pages
Pick the industry that matches your business. If your industry is not listed, pick the closest analogue. (A custom software shop is closer to a SaaS company than to a traditional services business. A specialty retailer is closer to an ecommerce store than to a marketplace.) Read the picks. Each one links to a deeper review of the recommended tool, where you can validate the choice against your specific workflow.
If the industry recommendation conflicts with the generic category recommendation on this site, trust the industry version. We only break with the default when there is a real, substantive reason that the right answer changes for that vertical. The industry pages are not generic recommendations with a different banner image at the top.
